A herbal processing plant is now operational in Davao. The grant includes training of personnel to upgrade the existing capabilities in the proponent's agency and the purchase of priority equipment for the initial operation of the project. A total of 472,960 antidiarrheal tablets (250 mg), 371,550 analgesic tablets (300 mg) and 877,479 isoniazid tablets for TB control have been produced since 1983. About 90% of the total tablets produced have been distributed to nearby provinces. (Author)
